Warrior Woman Project

The Warrior Woman Project exists to empower women by training them to be confident and proficient shooters in a relaxed and non-intimidating atmosphere. Classes are for women only and have a woman as the lead instructor. Each course of classes is programmed to meet the specific needs of women shooters and to allow for optimal skill development. From those who have never picked up a firearm to those who are seasoned shooters, each participant will learn the skills necessary to be a Warrior Woman.

 

Warrior Woman Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit Class

Upon successful completion of this 8-hour class, students can apply for a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit. Successful completion is determined by a minimum score of 70% on both a written exam and a shooting qualification course. Class topics include gun safety, nomenclature, home safety, proper selection of weapon and caliber, concealment, applicable state laws, and interaction with law enforcement. Students will provide 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice/skill development and 50 rounds for qualification. A rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol, 100 rounds of ammo, and eye and ear protection. There is no pre-requisite for this class.

Warrior Woman Pistol Course

This course consists of three classes and is designed to instill a fundamental knowledge of pistols, shooting mechanics, and shooting accuracy. The course classes take place at the Everything Weapons indoor gun range. Those who complete the Warrior Woman Pistol Course will join the ranks of the Warrior Woman sisterhood and be awarded a certificate of membership.

Warrior Woman Basic Pistol Class

This 3-hour class is designed to remove fear and instill confidence in beginners. Students will learn shooting fundamentals such as firearms safety, nomenclature, and shooting mechanics. Range instruction will enable  students to become comfortable shooting a pistol and develop shooting accuracy. Students are required to provide 100 rounds of practice ammunition. A rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol, 100 rounds of ammo, and eye and ear protection.

There is no pre-requisite for this class.

 Warrior Woman Intermediate Pistol Class

This 4-hour class continues to build knowledge and confidence in women shooters. Classroom time begins with a review of gun safety and mechanics. New topics include fundamentals of concealed carry, the tactical mindset, and dry-fire practice techniques. Students will also learn shooting skills such as draw stroke, combat reload, and malfunction clearing. Students are required to provide a strong-side belt holster, at least three pistol magazines, proper eye and ear protection, and 150 – 200 rounds of practice ammunition. A rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol, 200 rounds of ammo, holster and mag pouch, and eye and ear protection.

Warrior Woman Advanced Pistol Class

This 4-hour class introduces advanced shooting techniques and skills necessary for armed self-defense. Topics include shooting from kneeling and sitting, drawing from concealment, shooting from cover, and flashlight shooting. Students are required to provide a strong-side belt holster, strong belt, magazine pouch, three pistol magazines, a flashlight, proper eye and ear protection, and 200 rounds of practice ammunition.

Class pre-requisite: WW Intermediate Pistol and a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.

 Warrior Woman Tactical Pistol Course

This tactical course consists of three classes and is designed to build on the pistol course by adding the elements of speed, movement, and stress to shooting. The tactical drills taught in these classes are the same skills taught to law enforcement personnel for the purposes of defending themselves and the lives of others.

WW Tactical Pistol Level 1 Class

 This 5-hour class is designed to introduce combat tactics to women who are comfortable with the fundamentals of shooting a pistol. This class will include a review of firearms safety and shooting mechanics. New topics will include shooting from retention, lateral movement drills, quick target acquisition, instinctive shooting, and shooting on the move. Students are required to provide a strong side belt holster, magazine pouch, three magazines, a strong belt, proper eye and ear protection, and 300 rounds of practice ammunition. This class is conducted at an outdoor range.

Class pre-requisite: Handgun Carry Permit and Warrior Woman Advanced Pistol.

WW Tactical Pistol Level 2 Class

This 5-hour class reviews the skills and techniques covered in WW Basic Tactical Pistol. New topics include drawing from concealment, gun retention, supine and prone shooting, moving to cover, shooting from behind cover, and the box drill. Required materials include a strong-side belt holster, magazine pouch, strong belt, three pistol magazines, proper eye and ear protection and 300 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range.

WW Tactical Pistol Level 3 Class

This 5-hour class includes topics such as speed and accuracy, team shooting, bounding overwatch, critical decision making, room entry and clearing. This class incorporates rubber gun work (training pistol). Once non-fire training is completed, students will perform live fire entries. Required materials include a strong side holster, magazine pouch, strong belt, three pistol magazines, proper eye and ear protection, and 300 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range.

 Warrior Woman Self Defense Course

Warrior Woman Self-Defense Level 1

AGAPE Tactical’s Awareness and Self-Defense Training program is based on years of research, training and practical application.  This five-hour class consists of a one-hour PowerPoint Presentation with a question and answer period. The remaining time will be spent practicing lifesaving skills and techniques.  These skills and techniques are easy to learn and require no additional gear. Physical training includes learning various strikes and kicks. Dynamic training gives students the opportunity to test what they learned while fighting a suspect in a padded suit. Students should dress in comfortable, athletic clothes that allow for freedom of movement. There is a maximum number of 20 students for this class.

There is no pre-requisite for this class.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

A full refund is available for those who  give a minimum of 48 hours notice.   Those who give less than 48 hours notice may be credited one-half the original course fee.

“No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund.  It is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this.

Safety Policy

Given Agape Tactical’s vigilant focus on Firearms Safety, we do not allow the use of appendix or inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters in our Tactical Classes.  (Rule 2:  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.)

If you do not have a strong side outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster we will loan you one for the class.

Agape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right, indeed the duty, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).
