SUMMARY:POST Certified Armed Guard Active Shooter Response Training
DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour course is designed for licensed armed guards who wish to comply with state regulations for P.O.S.T. certified active shooter response training for schools. The principles taught will provide a standardization of basic CQB/room entry and active killer response tactics for a 1-2 man response. Topics covered include: the 5 absolutes of room clearing\, search mode versus contact mode\, room clearing for center/right/left fed rooms\, hallway clearing\, stairwell clearing and barricaded subject. This is a dynamic class with lots of movement drills\, scenario training\, and force-on-force with the use of sims weapons. Each participant will get a certificate of participation and an add-on form for their armed guard license. \nRequired class gear includes: comfortable clothing that allows for movement\, protective clothing for simunition training (jacket or thick sweatshirt\, gloves)\, duty belt and/or holster for the Glock 17. \nClass min/max: 10/Unlimited \nCancellation and Rescheduling Policy \nA full refund is available for those who give a minimum of 48 hours notice.  Those who give less than 48 hours notice may be credited one-half the original course fee.  “No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund. \nIt is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled\, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this. \nSafety Policy \nGiven Agape Tactical’s vigilant focus on Firearms Safety\, we do not allow the use of appendix or inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters in our Tactical Classes.  (Rule 2:  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.)  If you do not have a strong side outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster we will loan you one for the class. \nAgape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right\, indeed the duty\, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).
