SUMMARY:Tactical Speed and Precision - TGBC
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nClass Description \nTactical Pistol 1 and 2 are pre-requisites for this class. In the Tactical Speed and Precision class\, we will equip you with the tools and skills necessary to push yourself and take your personal training to the next level. You will learn how to break down the fundamentals into component parts\, train with precision and efficiency\, then put those component parts back together to create fundamental speed that does not sacrifice accuracy. Each student will receive an Agape Training Manual\, complete with drill sheets and copies of our Agape Specialty Target System. A shot timer is required to practice these drills. If you do not have one\, we highly recommend you get one. With these tools\, you will learn how to track quantifiable data and create planned progression. This class is unique from all of our other classes in that we train you how to train yourself. \nRequired materials for the class include: pistol\, at least 3 magazines\, strong belt\, a strong side holster\, double mag pouch\, eye and ear protection\, and a shot timer. Students will be responsible for supplying at least 350 rounds of ammunition. \nCOVID19 Notice – Please do not come to class if you are Covid19 positive\, have a fever\, have any Covid19 symptoms\, or have come in close contact with someone who is Covid19 positive in the last 5-7 days. DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. In order to be certified to carry a handgun\, students are required to complete a written exam and a firearms qualification course with a minimum score of 70. \nA rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol\, 100 rounds of ammo\, and eye and ear protection. \nCOVID-19 Notice – The classroom will be properly sanitized\, but strict social distancing is not always possible. SUMMARY:Tactical Rifle 1
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis class is for shooters who would like to improve their skills on the AR-15/AK47 carbines or other tactical rifle platforms. This class is taught at an outdoor range and can be physically challenging for some shooters. Topics include carry and presentation of rifle\, understanding sight/optic mechanical offset\, proper rifle manipulations\, reloading/ammunition management\, rifle/pistol transitions\, and malfunction clearing. Both steel and paper targets will be employed. Nothing greater than 55-grain bullets are required in order to shoot steel. \nStudents will fire approximately 400 rounds of rifle ammo and 100 rounds of pistol ammo and are required to provide both a rifle and pistol. Required gear includes: Rifle\, rifle sling\, 3 rifle magazines\, rifle magazine pouch\, pistol\, strong side pistol holster\, 3 pistol magazines\, pistol magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and required ammo. Optics are not required for this class but are recommended. \nPistol and/or Rifle rentals are available at a cost of $20 per weapon with advanced notice. SUMMARY:Tactical Pistol 4 (H.I.T.T.) - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nTactical classes 1\, 2 and 3 are prerequisites for this class.  Shooters should have a solid working knowledge of marksmanship and manipulation of the firearm\, as well as an advanced tactical understanding of how to multi-task solutions to tactical problem sets. \nMuch like high intensity interval training\, H.I.T.T. incorporates strenuous cardiovascular training and short periods of intense anaerobic exercise to create a demand for oxygen that exceeds the body’s available supply\, but in a tactical setting rather than a gym. The goal of this class is to expose students to similar conditions experienced when adrenaline releases into the body during a critical incident and then run students through tactical scenarios and advanced firing drills. Students will be challenged to think quickly under pressure\, problem solve\, and make life-determining decisions all while demonstrating proficiency with their firearm. Students will also experience hand to hand fighting\, a dummy drag\, and simulated injuries. All of these things combine to create the most realistic training available. \nHITT is suited for individuals that are in optimal physical condition. It is suggested that student’s consult with a physician prior to taking this class to ensure they are capable of exposure to intense physical activity while shooting. \nRequired materials for the class include a pistol\, three pistol magazines\, a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 500 rounds of ammunition. Knee pads are strongly recommended. \nCOVID19 Notice – Given the nature of the class\, strict social distancing is not always possible. You are welcome to wear a mask if you prefer. DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. In order to be certified to carry a handgun\, students are required to complete a written exam and a firearms qualification course with a minimum score of 70. \nA rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol\, 100 rounds of ammo\, and eye and ear protection. \nCOVID-19 Notice – The classroom will be properly sanitized\, but strict social distancing is not always possible. In addition to practicing tactical skills\, scenario training gives participants the opportunity to employ critical thinking skills\, in a realistic setting\, and decide which response on the force continuum is best suited for the situation. Students will engage in force-on-force training with the use of simunitions weapons\, air-soft weapons\, or IR weapons to maximize stress. This provides some of the most realistic training available. This training is conducted at your facility and includes scenarios relevant to your organization.

SUMMARY:Tactical Pistol 1 - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset.  Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. All of these skills are taught within the framework of real-world\, tactical\, applications. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 500 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range and are scheduled on Saturdays each month from March through December. \nCOVID19 Notice – Please do not come to class if you are Covid19 positive or are sick with any symptoms.
