DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis class is for shooters who would like to improve their skills on the AR-15/AK47 carbines or other tactical rifle platforms. It builds on the fundamental skills of Tactical Rifle 1 and includes topics such as movement\, use of cover and concealment\, multiple target acquisition\, and transitions to secondary weapons. This class is taught at an outdoor range and can be physically challenging for some shooters. Both steel and paper targets will be employed. No rifle rounds greater than 55-grain are permitted in order to shoot steel. \nStudents will fire approximately 400 rounds of rifle ammo and 100 rounds of pistol ammo and are required to provide both a rifle and pistol. Required gear includes: Rifle\, rifle sling\, 3 rifle magazines\, rifle magazine pouch\, pistol\, strong side pistol holster\, 3 pistol magazines\, pistol magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and required ammo. Optics are not required for this class but are recommended. Knee pads are also recommended \nPistol and/or Rifle rentals are available at a cost of $20 per weapon with advanced notice. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset.  Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. SUMMARY:TN Enhanced Carry Permit
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nTactical Pistol 1 is a pre-requisite for this class. In this 8-hour class\, students will learn how to stay in the fight when one hand is wounded and the necessity of operating their pistol with the functioning hand. This class is unique because it will combine tactical pistol\, combat wound care\, and the warrior mindset all in one. Students will simulate what it is like to be wounded\, give self-aid and then manipulate their pistol. \nEvery student will receive a R.A.T.S. tourniquet included in the cost of the class. If you do not have a 9mm pistol and gear\, you may rent a set of ours for $20 or provide your own ammo and we will reduce the cost of the class. \nRequired materials include: pistol\, three pistol magazines\, a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 250 rounds of ammunition. SUMMARY:Tactical Rifle 1- open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis class is for shooters who would like to improve their skills on the AR-15/AK47 carbines or other tactical rifle platforms. This class is taught at an outdoor range and can be physically challenging for some shooters. Topics include carry and presentation of rifle\, understanding sight/optic mechanical offset\, proper rifle manipulations\, reloading/ammunition management\, rifle/pistol transitions\, and malfunction clearing. Both steel and paper targets will be employed. No greater than 55-grain bullets are required in order to shoot steel. \nStudents will fire approximately 400 rounds of rifle ammo and 100 rounds of pistol ammo and are required to provide both a rifle and pistol. Required gear includes: Rifle\, rifle sling\, 3 rifle magazines\, rifle magazine pouch\, pistol\, strong side pistol holster\, 3 pistol magazines\, pistol magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and required ammo. Optics are not required for this class but are recommended. \nPistol and/or Rifle rentals are available at a cost of $20 per weapon with advanced notice. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset. Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. SUMMARY:POST Certified Armed Guard Active Shooter Response Training
DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour course is designed for licensed armed guards who wish to comply with state regulations for P.O.S.T. certified active shooter response training for schools. The principles taught will provide a standardization of basic CQB/room entry and active killer response tactics for a 1-2 man response. Topics covered include: the 5 absolutes of room clearing\, search mode versus contact mode\, room clearing for center/right/left fed rooms\, hallway clearing\, stairwell clearing and barricaded subject. This is a dynamic class with lots of movement drills\, scenario training\, and force-on-force with the use of sims weapons.
