DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset.  Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. All of these skills are taught within the framework of real-world\, tactical\, applications. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 400 – 500 rounds of ammunition. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nTactical Pistol 1 is a pre-requisite for this class. In this 8-hour class\, students will learn how to stay in the fight when one hand is wounded and the necessity of operating their pistol with the functioning hand. This class is unique because it will combine tactical pistol\, combat wound care\, and the warrior mindset all in one. Students will simulate what it is like to be wounded\, give self-aid and then manipulate their pistol. \nEvery student will receive a R.A.T.S. tourniquet included in the cost of the class. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis class is for shooters who would like to improve their skills on the AR-15/AK47 carbines or other tactical rifle platforms. This class is taught at an outdoor range and can be physically challenging for some shooters. Topics include carry and presentation of rifle\, understanding sight/optic mechanical offset\, proper rifle manipulations\, reloading/ammunition management\, rifle/pistol transitions\, and malfunction clearing. Both steel and paper targets will be employed. No greater than 55-grain bullets are required in order to shoot steel. \nStudents will fire approximately 400 rounds of rifle ammo and 100 rounds of pistol ammo and are required to provide both a rifle and pistol. Required gear includes: Rifle\, rifle sling\, 3 rifle magazines\, rifle magazine pouch\, pistol\, strong side pistol holster\, 3 pistol magazines\, pistol magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and required ammo. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis class is for shooters who would like to improve their skills on the AR-15/AK47 carbines or other tactical rifle platforms. This class is taught at an outdoor range and can be physically challenging for some shooters. Topics include carry and presentation of rifle\, understanding sight/optic mechanical offset\, proper rifle manipulations\, reloading/ammunition management\, rifle/pistol transitions\, and malfunction clearing. Both steel and paper targets will be employed. No greater than 55-grain bullets are required in order to shoot steel. \nStudents will fire approximately 400 rounds of rifle ammo and 100 rounds of pistol ammo and are required to provide both a rifle and pistol. Required gear includes: Rifle\, rifle sling\, 3 rifle magazines\, rifle magazine pouch\, pistol\, strong side pistol holster\, 3 pistol magazines\, pistol magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and required ammo. Optics are not required for this class but are recommended. \nPistol and/or Rifle rentals are available at a cost of $20 per weapon with advanced notice. DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification.
