SUMMARY:TN Enhanced Carry Permit
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. SUMMARY:Training the Guardians - A Safety Team Training Clinic
DESCRIPTION:You asked for MORE TRAINING\, so we are delivering! We are kicking our Gathering of the Guardians Conference up a notch. This training clinic will feature four blocks of 4-hour training sessions including Tactical Pistol (live-fire on the range!)\, Disarming\, Combatives\, and Tactical Medicine. No more giving you a 1-hour taste test. You will get four full hours of training in our most popular classes. While this event is primarily for Safety Teams and their members\, individuals are welcome to attend for their own personal training and edification. These skills aren’t just for church or school\, they apply everyday and everywhere. \nClinic Description: \nThe Training of the Guardians training clinic is the response to the overwhelming feedback we received from our Gathering of the Guardians Conferences. We have set a maximum participation of 120 people to keep classes manageable. Participants will be divided into four groups. Each group will rotate through four training blocks that touch on various facets of the Use-of-Force Continuum. This will give participants multiple tools in their toolbox with which to respond to a safety incident. \nWhat is the Use-of-Force Continuum? It is using only the amount of force necessary to safely deal with aberrant behavior. \n\nYour presence\nVerbal de-escalation\nSoft empty hand techniques\nHard empty hand techniques\nDeadly force\nTactical Medicine (medical attention for you\, innocents\, or the suspect)\n\nTraining Blocks \n\nTactical Pistol 1 – This live-fire training will teach you the most cutting-edge techniques for grip\, trigger press\, recoil management\, shot speed and accuracy. You cannot train the fundamentals too much. You will need a semi-automatic pistol\, strong-side outside the waistband holster\, mag pouch\, strong belt\, eye/ear protection\, and 200 rounds of practice ammunition.\nDisarming – This class will teach students how to deal with the life-or-death situation of having a weapon pointed at them. They will learn when they should comply vs. when they can’t comply\, and what options are available if they can’t comply. Instruction will include weapon identification\, reaction time and appropriate response\, and three methods of disarming a pistol. At the end of the class\, each student will have the opportunity to put on safety gear and test the techniques against Simmunition Weapons. Simmunition weapons are semi-automatic pistols that fire a marking cartridge traveling at 450 ft per second. Students will prove each technique through stress-inoculated training.\nNon-Agressive Subject Control (NASC) – This class will teach you to turn your natural response to fear or surprise into a weapon. The Spear system uses “The flinch” as a bridge to stop someone’s attack. You will learn this defensive tool\, along with a series of combatives that will allow you to weaponize The Spear into an offensive tool. This system is non-aggressive/non-threatening in appearance\, while maintaining the ability to effectively stop an assault.  When used by Federal\, State\, local law enforcement and security professionals\, SPEAR has been found to be compliant with all Use of Force Policies. The last hour of the class\, instructors will suit up in a Red Man Suit (padded suit) and attack each student. Using only what they learned in the last 3 hours\, students will be able to effectively defeat and counter the attack\, empowering them with the knowledge they can defend themselves. \nTactical Medicine – If you train to take a life\, you should train to save a life because the life you save may be your own or someone you love. This class will teach you how to prioritize injuries and apply life-saving techniques to those in medical need. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nEvil hides in dark places! If you carry a gun\, but you can’t see the threat\, you are powerless to stop it. We cannot shoot what we cannot see. This class is designed to give the student a full understanding of what it takes to fight in low to no light settings utilizing both handheld and weapon mounting lights. The class will thoroughly cover low light shooting techniques\, situational awareness in low light settings\, and techniques for searching with light. Students will need at minimum a required handheld light and extra batteries\, or a backup light. It is also encouraged to utilize a weapon-mounted light as well. Even with a weapon-mounted light\, a handheld light is required. The class will blend both non-lethal training ammo which will be provided and 250 rounds of handgun ammunition which will be brought by the students. Tactical Pistol 1 and 2 are pre-requisites for the class. \nRequired materials include a pistol\, three pistol magazines\, strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, handheld light and extra batteries or back-up light\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 250 rounds of ammunition. SUMMARY:Tactical Pistol 1 - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset.  Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. All of these skills are taught within the framework of real-world\, tactical\, applications. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 400 – 500 rounds of ammunition. DESCRIPTION:AGAPE Tactical conducts the most realistic Scenario-Based Training available. The first half of the day is spent learning how to respond to a variety of threats. You will learn skills such as room clearing\, stairwell clearing\, hallway clearing\, and techniques from SPEAR. The second half of the day uses real-life scenarios (each of our scenarios have actually occurred at a church) to help you apply the skills you have learned and help you choose which skills are an appropriate response to a given scenario. We utilize simmunition weapons (real pistols that fire a soap round and leave whelps of Biblical proportions) to add stress-innoculation to maximize learning retention. SUMMARY:Low-Light Tactical Pistol - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nEvil hides in dark places! If you carry a gun\, but you can’t see the threat\, you are powerless to stop it. We cannot shoot what we cannot see. This class is designed to give the student a full understanding of what it takes to fight in low to no light settings utilizing both handheld and weapon mounting lights. The class will thoroughly cover low light shooting techniques\, situational awareness in low light settings\, and techniques for searching with light. Students will need at minimum a required handheld light and extra batteries\, or a backup light. It is also encouraged to utilize a weapon-mounted light as well. Even with a weapon-mounted light\, a handheld light is required. The class will blend both non-lethal training ammo which will be provided and 250 rounds of handgun ammunition which will be brought by the students. DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class focuses on the Tactical Triad – Marksmanship\, Manipulation\, and Mindset.  Shooters will gain confidence on their handgun of choice and learn to manipulate their pistol using the techniques of the Magnificent Seven – stance\, grip\, presentation (draw stroke)\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, trigger press and follow-through. Other skills taught include reloading\, malfunction clearing\, and the beginning stages of movement. All of these skills are taught within the framework of real-world\, tactical\, applications. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 350 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range and are scheduled on Saturdays each month from March through December. \nCancellation and Rescheduling Policy \nA full refund is available for those who give a minimum of 48 hours notice.  Those who give less than 48 hours notice may be credited one-half the original course fee.  “No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund. \nIt is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled\, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this. \n  \nSafety Policy \nGiven Agape Tactical’s vigilant focus on Firearms Safety\, we do not allow the use of appendix or inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters in our Tactical Classes.  (Rule 2:  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.)  If you do not have a strong side outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster we will loan you one for the class. \nAgape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right\, indeed the duty\, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).

SUMMARY:TN Enhanced Carry Permit
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. Holsters are not required for this class. However\, any holster used should be a strong-side\, OWB holster to avoid unsafe handling of the firearm. Standard range safety protocols will be reviewed prior to the start of the class. \nAgape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).
