SUMMARY:Tactical Pistol 2 - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class reviews the skills and techniques covered in Tactical Pistol 1. New topics include drawing and presenting pistol from concealment\, firearm retention\, kneeling and prone shooting\, use of cover and movement drills. Students will be challenged with class competitions involving steel targets. They will also explore more complex movements such as lateral\, serpentine\, forward and backward movements while engaging up to ten targets and focusing on manipulation and marksmanship. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 500 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range and are scheduled on Saturdays each month from March through December. \nCOVID19 Notice – Given the nature of the class\, strict social distancing is not always possible. You are welcome to wear a mask if you prefer. Please do not come to class if you are Covid19 positive\, have a fever\, have any Covid19 symptoms\, or have come in close contact with someone who is Covid19 positive in the last 5-7 days. We will gladly transfer your registration to another class. \nCancellation and Rescheduling Policy \nA full refund is available for those who give a minimum of 48 hours notice.  Those who give less than 48 hours notice may be credited one-half the original course fee.  “No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund. \nIt is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled\, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this. \nSafety Policy \nGiven Agape Tactical’s vigilant focus on Firearms Safety\, we do not allow the use of appendix or inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters in our Tactical Classes.  (Rule 2:  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.)  If you do not have a strong side outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster we will loan you one for the class. \nAgape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right\, indeed the duty\, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).

SUMMARY:TN Enhanced Carry Permit Class
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. In order to be certified to carry a handgun\, students are required to complete a written exam and a firearms qualification course with a minimum score of 70. \nA rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol\, 100 rounds of ammo\, and eye and ear protection. \nCOVID-19 Notice – The classroom will be properly sanitized\, but strict social distancing is not always possible. Standard range safety protocols will be reviewed prior to the start of the class. \nAgape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). DESCRIPTION:Tactical Pistol 1 is a pre-requisite for this class. In this 8-hour class\, students will learn how to stay in the fight when one hand is wounded and the necessity of operating their pistol with the functioning hand. This class is unique because it will combine tactical pistol\, combat wound care\, and the warrior mindset all in one. Students will simulate what it is like to be wounded\, give self-aid and then manipulate their pistol. Every student will receive a R.A.T.S. tourniquet included in the cost of the class. \nIf you do not have a 9mm pistol and gear\, you may rent a set of ours for $20 or provide your own ammo and we will reduce the cost of the class. \nRequired materials include: pistol\, three pistol magazines\, a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 250 rounds of ammunition.
