DESCRIPTION:Agape Tactical and Sheepdog Seminars present a church security conference.\nConference Description: \nHaving attended and spoken at dozens of conferences\, I have been left frustrated by the typical conference experience. I heard great stories and several sales pitches\, but rarely learned anything practical. This dissatisfaction drove AGAPE Tactical to do something different. This is a training conference\, not a sales pitch. Every participant will have the opportunity to train and learn from the best teachers in their respective fields. You will spend a day and a half training the use-of-force continuum\, providing you with tools for your toolbox. There is no picking or being forced to choose which session to attend. Everyone will get them all. \nWhat is the Use-of-Force Continuum? It is using only the amount of force necessary to safely deal with aberrant behavior. \n\nYour presence\nVerbal de-escalation\nSoft empty hand techniques\nHard empty hand techniques\nDeadly force\nStop the Bleed (medical attention for you\, innocents\, or the suspect)\n\nBreakout Sessions: Our breakout sessions will include hands-on\, dynamic training on the following topics: \n\nMastering the Concealed Draw Stroke – be sure to bring a garment for concealment and your empty pistol\, 3 empty mags\, concealed-carry holster and mag pouch.\nVerbal De-escalation\nStop the Bleed\n\nSession 4: A Security Operational Strategy: This practical session includes how to employ properly trained\, equipped\, deployed\, and radio-connected Safety Team members\, in overlapping rings and at key locations\, to provide multiple opportunities to deter threats and mitigate the damage caused by attacks on Houses of Worship. \nSPEAR: Our optional SPEAR session on Friday night will introduce you to the most instinctual and effective system of defense against a non-compliant or aggressive subject. It employs both soft and hard empty hand techniques. We teach this to police departments and safety teams\, both of whom need to be effective without appearing violent. \nSCENARIOS: After training in all these subjects\, you will have the opportunity to put what you learned to the test by participating\, or observing others\, in force-on-force scenarios. Participants will have safety gear on and be equipped with Simmunition weapons to create a realistic\, stress-inoculated environment. SUMMARY:Tactical Pistol 2 - Open
DESCRIPTION:Class Description \nThis 8-hour class reviews the skills and techniques covered in Tactical Pistol 1. New topics include drawing and presenting pistol from concealment\, firearm retention\, kneeling and prone shooting\, use of cover and movement drills. Students will be challenged with class competitions involving steel targets. They will also explore more complex movements such as lateral\, serpentine\, forward and backward movements while engaging up to ten targets and focusing on manipulation and marksmanship. \nRequired materials include a strong side holster\, magazine pouch\, three pistol magazines\, strong belt\, eye and ear protection\, and 350 rounds of ammunition. These classes are conducted at an outdoor range and are scheduled on Saturdays each month from March through December. \nCOVID19 Notice – Please do not come to class if you are Covid19 positive or are sick with any symptoms. We will gladly transfer your registration to another class. \nCancellation and Rescheduling Policy \nA full refund is available for those who give a minimum of 48 hours notice.  Those who give less than 48 hours notice may be credited one-half the original course fee.  “No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund. \nIt is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled\, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this. \nSafety Policy \nGiven Agape Tactical’s vigilant focus on Firearms Safety\, we do not allow the use of appendix or inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters in our Tactical Classes.  (Rule 2:  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.)  If you do not have a strong side outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster we will loan you one for the class. \nAgape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right\, indeed the duty\, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).

SUMMARY:TN Enhanced Carry Permit
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class \nSuccessful completion of this course will enable students to apply to legally carry a handgun in the State of Tennessee. The Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit allows for open or concealed carry and is issued for an 8-year period. This 8-hour class includes topics such as nomenclature\, gun care and cleaning\, home safety\, proper selection of weapon and caliber\, concealment\, applicable state laws\, and interaction with law enforcement. \nIn addition to the classroom portion\, students will complete a firearms qualification course at the range. Students will shoot 100 rounds of ammunition with 50 rounds for practice and skill building and 50 for qualification. In order to be certified to carry a handgun\, students are required to complete a written exam and a firearms qualification course with a minimum score of 70. \nA rental package is available at an additional cost for students without access to appropriate gear which includes a .22 semi-automatic pistol\, 100 rounds of ammo\, and eye and ear protection. \nCOVID-19 Notice – The classroom will be properly sanitized\, but strict social distancing is not always possible. Please do not come to class if you are Covid-19 positive\, have a fever\, have any Covid-19 symptoms\, or have come in close contact with someone who is Covid-19 positive in the last 5-7 days.
