About Us

“A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.” – Proverbs 22:3

With this Scripture as our guide, AGAPE Tactical strives to provide superior training to individuals, families, churches and businesses in the art of self-protection. All that we do in the service of others must come from a place of agape love.

Our Founder, Ken Alexandrow

Ken Alexandrow, founder of AGAPE Tactical, spent twenty-six years serving the citizens of middle Tennessee as a career police officer. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer and then was appointed to the Metro Nashville Police Academy as a confrontation management and firearms instructor. Next, he was selected to serve on the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force. He concluded his career as a Field Training Officer where he had the opportunity to supervise and train new police officers on how to apply their academy knowledge to real life situations on the street.

Since 1998, Ken has taught active killer response, personal protection, handgun carry permit, and advanced handgun, rifle and shotgun classes to private citizens. He specializes in helping schools, businesses and religious organizations develop plans for providing a safe learning, working and worshiping environment for their employees, members and guests. He has trained numerous church safety/security teams around the country. Ken lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife and two children.

Our Team

AGAPE Tactical Instructors have over 250 years of combined operator experience in Federal, State, and Local law enforcement, as well as Navy SEALs, Marine Corps, and SWAT. Our instructors apply that experience as they teach and train our students for real life application to tactical situations. AGAPE Tactical instructors speak from experience and with authority.

Chip Willmore

Chip, The Director of Tactical Training, has been working in law enforcement in Middle Tennessee for a decade and his current assignment is as a Firearms Instructor. He recently joined the USPSA competitive circuit and in his first year placed in the top 15% of shooters in the country as a Master Class shooter.

His obsession is in finding the trends that effect law abiding citizens and police officers in real life self defense related events and then finding solutions to the things that effect us negatively through training. Chip now spends almost every day on a range somewhere either studying or teaching the gun and spreading a passion for making others safer.

Colln Henry

Colln Henry, The Director of Combatives and Tactical Medicine spent 4 years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Psychological Operations Specialist. After his time in the military Colln became a Police Officer in the Atlanta area before moving back to the Middle Tennessee area to continue his career in Law Enforcement.

Colln has obtained his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from the University of North Georgia and his Masters in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Some of Colln’s certifications include being a Gracie Survival Tactics Level 1 Instructor, SPEAR Law Enforcement Instructor, HSI Level 3 Instructor Trainer, and a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Basic Tactical Medicine Instructor.
