Our Founder, Ken Alexandrow
Ken Alexandrow, founder of AGAPE Tactical, spent twenty-six years serving the citizens of middle Tennessee as a career police officer. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer and then was appointed to the Metro Nashville Police Academy as a confrontation management and firearms instructor. Next, he was selected to serve on the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force. He concluded his career as a Field Training Officer where he had the opportunity to supervise and train new police officers on how to apply their academy knowledge to real life situations on the street.
Since 1998, Ken has taught active killer response, personal protection, handgun carry permit, and advanced handgun, rifle and shotgun classes to private citizens. He specializes in helping schools, businesses and religious organizations develop plans for providing a safe learning, working and worshiping environment for their employees, members and guests. He has trained numerous church safety/security teams around the country. Ken lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife and two children.
AGAPE Tactical Instructors have over 250 years of combined operator experience in Federal, State, and Local law enforcement, as well as Navy Seals, Marine Corps, and SWAT. Our instructors apply that experience as they teach and train our students for real life application to tactical situations. AGAPE Tactical instructors speak from experience and with authority.
Brandon served 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps infantry followed by 7 years as a Security Specialist/
Consultant, Close Protection Officer and Field Security Advisor with multiple private-sector entities and multinational government agencies. He has conducted and lead numerous operations in several countries throughout the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Jason has a BS in Political Science and History and served 22 years with Metro Nashville Police Department. Prior to retiring as a Sergeant in 2013, Jason successfully completed assignments in uniformed services, SWAT, criminal intelligence, field training, and numerous high profile, anti-gang and violent crime and burglary units.
Gary served 29 years with the Shelby County Sheriff Department. His career positions include: Assault Team Leader, SWAT Team Instructor, and SWAT Commander. Certifications include: FBI Firearms Instructor, TN POST LE Instructor, TN POST Special Weapons and Tactical Instructor, and TN POST Close Quarters Battle/Live Fire Shoot-House Instructor. His responsibilities with Agape include: tactical Instructor, instructor on all firearms, executive protection, and security vulnerability analyst.
Brooks Harris III
Brooks has a BS in History and Political Science and a Doctorate of Law. He served 34 years with Metro Nashville Police Department where he successfully completed assignments as Detective Sergeant Counter Terrorism Unit, SWAT Sniper and Unit Instructor, Police Academy Instructor, and Supervisor for the Crime Analysis and Case Prep Units.
Dawn has a BS in Business Administration and Finance and an MA in Religious Education. She has 30 years of teaching/instructional experience in a variety of disciplines. Dawn has received over 150 hours of training in marksmanship, tactical firearms, active killer, and self-protection.
Kent is a retired USMC Colonel with thirty years of service as an Infantry Officer, Amphibious Reconnaissance Officer and Foreign Area Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa. He participated in combat operations in both Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He has also served as a deputy sheriff and as a security contractor for the US Department of State. Has currently serves as the Dean of Students and science teacher at a prestigious private Christian school in middle Tennessee. His responsibilities with Agape Tactical include: lead classroom instructor, carry permit class instructor, and personal defense instructor.
Joe served in the U.S. Army and currently works in Federal Law Enforcement. He has served on tactical teams for various federal agencies and as a DHS certified tactical medic. He currently instructs at training facilities around the country. His responsibilities with Agape include: tactical medical instructor, tactical instructor, firearms instructor, defensive tactical instructor and security vulnerability analyst.
