Competition Pistol Level 1 with Master Class Shooter Chip Willmore

USPSA-Style Performance Shooting Course

This class is built for shooters who want to go beyond static marksmanship and learn how to perform under pressure, on the clock, and in movement-based environments. Practical Pistol 1 is a prerequisite to this class.

Whether you’re brand new to practical shooting or looking to refine your match performance, this course is designed to develop the skills that matter most in USPSA and other action pistol disciplines.

What You’ll Learn

This is not a slow-fire accuracy class. This is about shooting fast, shooting smart, and shooting consistently.

Students will work on:

• Practical Accuracy
Delivering A-zone hits at match speed, not just slow-fire perfection.

• Draw Speed & First Shot Efficiency
Reducing wasted motion from holster to first hit.

• Reloads Under Pressure
Executing reloads that don’t cost you time or points.

• Movement Techniques
Entering and exiting positions aggressively without sacrificing control.

• Target Transitions
Learning to see and drive the gun efficiently between targets.

• Stage Planning & Mental Game
Breaking down courses of fire to balance speed, accuracy, and risk.

• Match-Realistic Problem Solving
Shooting partials, steel, distance, and awkward positions just like you’ll face in competition.

Who This Class Is For

This class is ideal for:

  • Shooters interested in USPSA, IDPA, or action pistol competition

  • Current competitors wanting to move out of D or C class

  • Defensive shooters wanting better gun-handling under stress

  • Anyone serious about improving real-world pistol performance

You do not need to be a USPSA member to attend.

Training Style

Expect:

  • Live-fire drills designed around match performance

  • Timers, scoring, and measurable improvement

  • Coaching focused on efficiency, not gimmicks

  • A professional but fun, competition-driven environment

This is a thinking shooter’s course: not just what to do, but why it works.

Gear Requirements

  • Reliable semi-auto pistol

  • Holster and magazine pouches suitable for competition

  • 3–5 magazines

  • 300–500 rounds of ammo

  • Eye & ear protection

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

A full refund is available for those who give a minimum of TWO WEEKS notice.  “No-shows” will not be allowed a credit or refund.

It is the student’s responsibility to register for a future class if he or she cannot attend the originally scheduled class.  In the rare event a class is rescheduled, you will be automatically enrolled in the next open class.  We will contact you to confirm this.

Safety Policy

We do allow AIWB holsters, but a quick assessment of your ability to be safe will be conducted by the instructor before class starts.

Agape Tactical and its representatives reserve the right, indeed the duty, to refuse service or to remove individuals who operate in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  Agape Tactical cannot accept applicants who are currently being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).
